Welcome to my site. This is the first of many posts where I will offer some of my images for you to see. I hope you enjoy viewing them.
This image you see above was made on the first day of a trip a Mount Desert Island in Maine about a week ago. The location, Bass Harbor, is on the southwestern tip of the Island, about as far away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor as one can go. Its a very peaceful place to spend time shooting.
I got to the harbor just before sunset and was shooting from a small hill overlooking the water when an “old salt” came walking up the road with a friend. They stopped near me, chatted for a few minutes, and said their goodbyes.
He ambled down a rickety ramp to the beach, launched his little boat and serendipitously rowed across my composition as perfectly positioned as if I had placed him there myself.
